Great Expectations
When you go for a job interview, do you want that job ? Silly question isn't it ? Of course I want the job! Otherwise I would not go for it!
In so many ways we create our own demise, we see something we want and we simply go for it. Yes, isn't that the "Secret" ?
Let's step one step back, just for a moment ... Imagine a dot, very small on a blank sheet of A4 paper, make that dot, own it and call it " Point A". Now point a is what people call "Now" or the "Moment of Now". There is no dot like it, never will be again and there never was in all the moments of time, since the first spinning cycle of the Universe in time.
Now for simplicity sake we call this dot "Reality".
Move your hand, directly right or East from the "Reality", it doesn't matter how far, that I leave up to you, you will know. Now, when arriving at the second location, make another dot, but imagine for a moment that this location is known, in it's dimensions, color, size, the associated feelings, this place you do know, you already own it.
Now call this dot "Expectation".
Let's move back to our example in the beginning ... whizzzz ... and we are back in time. You go for an interview and you have an expectation, to a lesser or otherwise degree that you are good enough for this job. This job is yours, you already own it! At which dot are you now ? As days pass from the interview, your phone does not ring ... Well, the rest you know.
Down miserable message isn't it ?
No.
Since going for the interview at Point A, "Reality" and your expectations at Point B, "Expectation", there seem to be a gap, now look at the gap you created between your two dots. What is that ? Time ? Space ?
No, that my friends is Emotion, there is the emotion of what the reality is and what you want to see happen. There is the place that you need to work, not at point A or B, they are taken care of. But then again of we bring Point B closer and closer to Point A and we really work hard at seeing a thing, situation or surrounding just for what it is, beautiful, the associated emotion decreases.
Is emotion bad then? Now, that is another story
